The best recent works in Finnish architecture are presented in this exhibition and its catalogue.
This second overview of contemporary architecture features works selected by a jury of experts and representing the best achievements of Finnish architecture in 2004 and 2005. It includes buildings from different parts of Finland designed as dwellings, schools and cultural facilities, and for the purposes of administration, religious life, leisure and business. After its showing in Helsinki, the exhibition will tour venues in Finland and abroad. The catalogue will appear in English to make Finnish architecture known abroad as widely as possible.
The organizers of the exhibition and the publishers of the book are the Alvar Aalto Academy, the Museum of Finnish Architecture and the Finnish Association of Architects, SAFA.
