A Workshop on Access and Preservation of Born Digital Archives

Therefore, CCA and Yale invite you to a one day workshop scheduled at Yale on Friday, March 10, from 9am to 3pm.  The workshop will be preceded by an exhibition tour of CCA’s exhibition Archaeology of the Digital now on show at the Yale School of Architecture Gallery on Thursday, March 9, from 6pm to 7pm (drinks will be served after)*.  
The goal of the workshop is to discuss the different aspects of this process and to share research, guidelines, workflows, best practices around born digital archives.
More specifically we will discuss the different phases on Friday:

9am – 10:00am                Appraisal, donor relations, transfer
10:00am – 10.20am          Coffee break
10:20 am – 11am              Accessioning and triage
11am – 12pm                   Preservation
12pm – 1pm                     Lunch
1pm – 2pm                       Arrangement and description
2pm – 3pm                       Access, publishing, and exhibiting (including demonstration of Emulation as a Service software)

CCA and Yale will share their research and current guidelines for dealing with digital born archives. As this is intended to be a workshop, we call for a very active participation of you all to the different sessions, whether by contributing with your knowledge and research or engaging within the q/a period that will follow each session.
