Amongst its most recent accessions, the Architekturzentrum Wien has received the archives of Josef Lackner (born 31.01.1931 in Wörgl, Tyrol + 13.09.2000 in Innsbruck, Tyrol).

1949-1952 studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Vienna under Clemens Holzmeister; practical experience in various studios in Dusseldorf, Freiburg and Munich; studio in Innsbruck from 1961; from 1979 professor at the faculty for civil engineering of Innsbruck University (Deacon from 1993-1995).

Major building projects: Neu-Arzl church, Innsbruck, 1958-1960; Sigmund House Kripp, Innsbruck, 1964; Lainz Konzils-Gedächtniskirche (church), 1130 Vienna, 1965-1968; church, Völs, 1965-1967; Glanzing parish centre, 1190 Vienna, 1968; St. Barbara church, Wulfen, 1968; St. Norbert church, Innsbruck, 1969-1972; school, boarding school and Ursuline convent, Innsbruck, 1971-1980; youth centre, Fellbach, 1974; Bartenbach light studio, Aldrans, 1986-1988; Wüstenrot insurance company, Salzburg, 1988-1992; Jenbacher works office building and works hall, Jenbach, 1991-1994 and 2000-2001.
