Université Libre de Bruxelles – Archives et Bibliothèque d’architecture

Established in 2002, the ULB Architecture Archives are dedicated to safeguarding, processing, and promoting archival collections related to architecture and the built environment. The Archives house diverse holdings, including the archives of architects, urban planners, designers, educators, professional associations, and architectural schools, alongside photographic and special collections, largely dating from the second half of the twentieth century.

Its activities span the preservation and organisation of archival materials, their scientific and educational use for research and teaching, and their public dissemination through publications, exhibitions, and academic events.

Collection
The Architecture Archives house a diverse range of collections documenting architectural practice, education, and allied disciplines. These include personal archives of architects and designers, records of architectural education and pedagogy, materials related to urban planning, specialized architectural publications, and thematic collections arising from exhibitions, events, and technical documentation. Together, these holdings reflect the professional, pedagogical, and cultural dimensions of architecture and design across multiple contexts.
