The University of Brighton Design Archives is a research resource dedicated to the study of design in Britain and global design organisations of the twentieth century. For over two decades, the Archives has supported interdisciplinary research into the designed environment, design practice, and the design profession, working closely with scholars, students, and researchers across the arts and humanities, particularly through its association with the Centre for Design History. Holding the most significant body of material relating to post-war design organisations in any British university, the University of Brighton Design Archives (UoBDA) seeks to collect, preserve, and interpret the records of designers and design organisations, supporting innovative, inclusive, and research-led practices. Through long-term collaborations, interdisciplinary research, and public programmes, the Archives foster critical debate, connect academic and professional communities, and attract scholars and students from around the world.
