Collection
Focus: international. Consists of: architectural drawings, both individual drawings and complete archives; documents/correspondence; models; vintage and newly commissioned photographs; slides. Strengths: photography of architecture, from 1839 to current work; Canadian architectural archives of the twentieth century; design drawings for architecture, 1500-2000, including selected project archives from ca. 1900 and comprehensive archives of key postwar figures in U.S. and Europe. Collection accessible by computer; through inventories. Reproductions can be made. Institution has a conservation laboratory.


Library Holdings
Focus: international. Holdings: Dating from the 15th century to the present, printed literature and other material on the history and theory of architecture, urban planning and landscape design. Approximately 190,000 monographic volumes including rare books and special collections; approximately 5000 periodical titles; audio visual materials, artefacts and ephemera. Collection accessible by computer. Reproductions can be made. Library has a conservation laboratory.
