AAI Schleswig-Holsteinisches Archiv für Architektur und Ingenieurbaukunst

The AIK SH is a public corporation and was originally founded in 1964 as the Chamber of Architects. Engineers joined in 1981, creating the first and only joint chamber for architects and engineers in the Federal Republic of Germany. The AIK SH is an institution that protects and promotes the professional interests of architects and engineers.
The core task of the joint chamber is to promote building culture in the broadest sense, within which it develops and strengthens the construction industry, urban development, and landscape management in the state of Schleswig-Holstein. The chamber advises politicians and the public on planning and development projects, as well as on construction-related issues. The promotion of building culture takes place, for example, through the “Day of Architecture and Civil Engineering” held every June, through publications, publications, and statements, and especially through the initiation and support of competitions.
