Hamburgisches Architekturarchiv

The Hamburgishes Architekturarchiv was founded in 1984 and it represents the Hamburg Chamber of Architects. The archive is available to everyone.

The archive includes all forms of architecture: (build) architecture, interior design, landscape architecture, garden architecture, as well as urban design, urban planning, materials from research and teaching, and photographic holdings. Hamburg is the geographical focus of the collections; however the archive includes projects from all over the world that are related to Hamburg.


Collection
Focus: local, national. Consists of: architectural drawings, both individual drawings and complete archives; documents/correspondence; models; vintage photographs; slides; ephemera. Strength: significant collection of complete archives of Hamburg architects. Collection accessible online. Drawings can be reproduced. Institution has a conservation lab.
