Collection
The archival collections at Graduate School of Design (GSD) consist of primary source materials that further academic research in architecture, landscape architecture, and urban design and planning, both within the GSD and beyond Harvard University. These materials, individually and collectively, offer engaging documentation of design history, theory, and practice. The over 165 archival collections include drawings, texts, photographs, models, and digital media, and are part of our Special Collections (which also includes a rare book collection, a visual collection both with still and moving images, a materials collection, and a dedicated Le Corbusier research collection). Among our archival collections are The Kenzo Tange Archive, The Alison & Peter Smithson Archive, The Papers of Dan Kiley, The Josep Lluis Sert Collection, The Jorge Ferrari Hardoy Archive, The Edward Larrabee Barnes Collection, and The Archigram Magazine and Ephemera Collection. All collections are indexed in the library catalog, and many collections have online finding aids that include open access to digitized content. A listing of all our archival collections, with links to the library catalog and finding aids is included here: http://guides.library.harvard.edu/gsd/archives
