Following our inaugural meeting in Adelaide in October 2010, a number of you expressed interest – in several cases, in principle – in forming an Australasian network of the International Confederation of Architectural Museums. The icam Board supported the establishment of the network.

At the Adelaide meeting we agreed to reconvene and Harriet Edquist of RMIT Design Archives offered to host a meeting, with colleagues at other institutions in Melbourne assisting in regard to the program. I am very happy to advise that the date has been set for our second meeting: Friday 28 October, 2011, at RMIT University. Further information will be available in due course but please mark the date in your diary as we hope as many collections as possible will be represented.

Copies of several of the presentations given at our Adelaide meeting are available on the Architecture Museum’s website at:

The Architecture Museum is compiling a list of links to architectural and related collections in Australasia. The links will be posted on our website. In many instances these collections are part of larger collections eg in libraries and archives and there is a ‘best address’, rather than the main institution’s address, to access them. If you have not yet sent your best address can you email it to us at:
