Focus: national. Consists of: architectural drawings, both individual drawings and complete archives; documents/correspondence; models; photographs, both vintage and newly commissioned; slides; ephemera. Strengths: 350,000 photographs; 80,000 drawings of buildings throughout Ireland; also 2,000 biographical files on Irish architects. Collection accessible through inventories, card catalogue. Reproduction of drawings made photocopies and photographic prints. Institution does not have a conservation laboratory.

Library Holdings

Holdings: about 2,000 books, 2,500 pamphlets; mainly on Irish architecture, and particular buildings in Ireland, but also covering general architectural history and practice.
